Products > Waste Gas Treatment > Dry > CT-EAC-EF
The CT-EAC-EF is an exhaust air condenser with a downstream installed electrostatical filter. It is used for the treatment of solvent-containing air that is generated e.g. in the metallization lines of crystalline solar cell manufacturing. The screen printing pastes used contain dispersing agents such as alcohols, esters and terpenes, which are emitted during the drying and baking processes. These volatile organic hydrocarbons can be separated resource-friendly and with minimal installation effort by the CT-EAC-EF.
The solvent-containing exhaust air is connected to the top of the CT-EAC and redirected meander-like through the water-cooled heat exchanger. The gaseous organic solvents are cooled down by the heat exchanger plates and thus converted into their liquid state. The remaining aerosols in the gas stream are charged in the electric field of the CT-EF and then deposited on the collecting electrode. The solvent condensate is drained to the lower part of the CT-EAC-EF into a level-controlled collecting tank. If the CT-EAC-EF is used as a stand-alone unit, an efficiency of up to 93% can be achieved. The performance can be increased even further if an activated carbon dry bed absorber, such as our CT-D, is installed downstream.
